One of the first signs that your weight may be getting out of hand are ‘love handles’.  These overflows of fat on either side of the body are not only unattractive, and the butt of plenty of jokes, but are telling you that you should be seriously considering doing something about your weight.  If you are like most people who want to lose weight and build up some decent muscle, you have probably become disgusted by the empty promises of so many diets.  Actually, if you think about it carefully, it is not surprising that most diets fail – they are simply unnatural.  Fortunately, Rob Poulos has perfected a diet and exercise plan, The Fat Burning Furnace, which will deliver.  Not only will it help you to get into shape, but it can also eliminate those love handles and belly fat.

Years of research and personal experience have provided Rob with the background and know-how to give you the information and inspiration to tackle your weight and fitness problems.  The Fat Burning Furnace does not rely on unpalatable and strange food for your diet, Rob understands that obsessing about calorie counts and trying to find exotic foods will not help you to lose weight.  The Fat Burning Furnace presents a dietary plan that is based on regular foods that you already eat, and explains how to manage your portions without worrying about calories.

The Fat Burning Furnace gives you a set of exercises that will help those love handles melt away like snow in July.  Rob has included pictures of himself working out on various exercise machines so you will understand exactly what to do for the maximum benefit.  And, if you do not have machines yourself, or access to a gym, Rob gives you a set of exercises that require no equipment at all – there’s simply no excuse not to put this great program into effect as soon as possible.

Although love handles used to be associated with men, the ladies are now acknowledged to often have them, too, and there is no reason why we women can’t use The Fat Burning Furnace to lose weight and look our best.  None of the exercises in the book are beyond the scope of women and they are designed not to build up huge, ungainly looking muscles, but to strengthen those that a woman has and help her peel off those extra pounds quickly.

Older people will be able to do the exercises and follow the diet plan without any trouble, too.  Rob suggests that seniors actually start with the intermediate exercises, since they give you more time in between exercise days to rest up.  The Fat Burning Furnace’s diet plan is healthy and sensible for people of any age, and should provide complete nutrition, so you need not worry about how this might impact your health.

Anyone, any age, who has been concerned about those seemingly immovable love handles will want to get The Fat Burning Furnace.  The information is presented in an easy to understand format and will provide you with all you need to achieve a slimmer, more youthful you.

The Specific Carbohydrate Diet

So here I am a slim guy, albeit with some love handles. What interest would I ever have in dieting or losing weight? Here is my story. Back in ’07 I started having panic attacks, out of the blue. When I had my first attack, I didn’t even know what it was. And more of them were to follow. I became pretty freaked out. I took out my Vernon Howard books and started reading them which helped a lot. But the attacks persisted. Desperately surfing the Internet I found an answer that really worked. Relief at last, I could actually make them disappear. But they kept reoccurring. I also had been experiencing irritable bowel syndrome, or IBS for a number of years. A trip to the doctor for my IBS and the question my doctor asked “are you having panic attacks?” How did he know? Because he was well familiar with the fact that there is an intimate relationship between the gut and the brain. He prescribed medication, which I refused to take.

Back to the Internet and more research, and I found an interesting book that explores the direct relationship between intestinal and mental/emotional health titled Breaking The Viscous Cycle by Elaine Gottschall. I bought it, read it and began to practice the Specific Carbohydrate Diet detailed in the book.  With antibiotics we have all taken, and unhealthy eating habits, we can develop an imbalance in the gut and unhealthy microbes can rule the roost. In this diet they are starved, and replaced by healthy microorganisms so balance can be achieved again. In order to accomplish this, a strict diet must be maintained, with foods categorized into legal and illegal groups. Foods to be avoided include grains, sugar, certain cheeses, milk and tofu. Then there are legal foods that can be eaten as well of course.

I went on the diet for several weeks, and my IBS started to clear up. No more having to go to the bathroom 7 times between breakfast and lunch. My panic attacks began to stop recurring as well! It really worked for me. I must advise you to check with your doctor before going on any diet. This article is for informational purposes only, and I cannot give any medical advice whatsoever.

I did lose some weight, not to mention some some hip fat, about 10 or 15 pounds on this diet. I felt great too. My lady friend was concerned about my weight loss, and she talked me into eating some rice and other things again. I resumed doing so and I was fine, and gained back a few pounds. I cured my IBS and got rid of my panic attacks. I have since cut way down on sugar, which I believe was the culprit in my having irritable bowel syndrome.

Love Handles

What exactly are love handles? Both man and women can have them. They are the bulges of fat that hang a little bit from the sides, and the lower back. You can also say they are the parts of the body that can be grabbed onto while making love – hence the expression “love handles”. And they are not entirely a bad thing. If a woman does not have a little something there, maybe even tiny ones, she may just be too skinny.

I’ve had love handles for as long as I can remember. I think it may have something to do with the way I am built. I remember when I just about got rid of them. In the 1980’s I took a bicycle trip through part of France with my dad, for about 10 days. On our adventure we ate well – drinking wine, having steaks, and rich desserts. Yet the amount of rigorous exercise I was doing each and every day markedly reduced those love handles at the journey’s end.

This blog is going to explore ways to lose hip fat and – you guessed it – love handles! I intend to provide valuable info regarding how to lose weight, how to lose love handles, and may even include information regarding the best diet to lose weight. I hope you enjoy it!
